Course Objectives: This Course will instruct on the basics of real property law. This shall include National and Oregon tendencies regarding real property estates, encumbrances, title transfer, property legal descriptions, conveyances, construction practices, and title insurance. The course will specifically cover Oregon laws and regulations regarding tenancy, building codes, tenant/landlord relationships, benefits for veterans, zoning, policing construction, land use, water rights, lien law, sub-division control, and condominium conversion. The course shall discuss the regulatory power of the Real Estate Agency, Department of Veteran Affairs, Land Conservation and Development Commission, and other regulatory county and municipal agencies.
Clock Hour Credit: 30 Hours
Course Objectives: This Course will instruct on the basics of financing the purchase of real estate. This shall include national and Oregon regulations regarding discrimination, consumer loans, lending practices, lien instruments and laws, real estate mathematics, descriptive loan titles, escrow laws, financing instruments, and appraisal of property. The course will specifically instruct on Federal and Oregon regulations that affect the real estate industry such as non-conventional financing, foreclosure on property, loans for veterans, usury laws, flood insurance, taxation, and the various government agencies that regulate their use. This is an Oregon Real Estate Agency approved course for Real Estate Finance.

Course Title: Oregon Real Estate Practices 30 Clock Hours
Course Objectives: to provide a licensed agent with a better understanding of the real estate agent when working with buyers and sellers in behalf of their broker. It explains in detail the agent/principal relationship of the broker. This course will provide information on Oregon State laws of brokers representing the buyer or the seller. It also discusses real estate forms, procedures, ethics, legal responsibilities, and buyer/seller responsibilities. This is an Oregon Real Estate Agency approved course for Real Estate Practices.
Clock Hour Credit: 30 Hours
Course Objects: This course will instruct on the basics of running a professional real estate firm. The course will discuss the business aspects of advertising, use of insurance, record keeping, setting an audit trail, various office reports, use of office facilities, escrow procedures, closing statements, payroll responsibilities, debit/credit requirements, recording of instruments, financial reports, tax reporting, tax law, establishing an office manual, purposes of the manual, and regular office activities. The course will specifically discuss Oregon regulations regarding office registration, record keeping, firm responsibilities, agent responsibilities, firm supervision, training requirements, branch office vs. main office requirements, advertising regulation, pooled trust accounts, and the Commissioner’s right of viewing office records.
Clock Hour Credit: 20 Hours
This course provides the student with an in depth review of the laws and regulations governing real estate contracts in Oregon State. This is a "must" for all real estate professionals to achieve the skill level required to be able to craft a legal and binding real estate listing agreement, purchase and sale contract, sub-division contracts, and proper condominium agreements.
Clock Hour Credit: 15 Hours
This course provides the student with an in depth review of the principles of agency laws and regulations governing professional real estate in Oregon State. This includes the different agency responsibilities for brokers, principal brokers, property managers, and appraisers. The course discusses the licensing responsibilities for affiliated licensees, employees and staff, as well as vicarious liability of working with other professionally licensed entities such as appraisers, escrow officers, mortgage brokers, and home inspectors.
Clock Hour Credit: 15 Hours
This course discusses the unique licensing law requirements for practicing property management within the State of Oregon. Proper licensing is required regarding signing property management agreements with owners, taking tenant lease agreements, handling money deposits properly, and the bookkeeping requirements for handling moneys of owners and tenants through trust accounting.
This course will also go over the various lease agreements utilized with commercial real estate, the status of hired live-in landlords, proper record keeping for tenant leases, and State statutes in providing residential housing to the masses.
Clock Hour Credit: 10 Hours
